uppityundergrad

[kelaina]
Oh god, I'm flipping out.

Somehow, I failed my French class. Failed it. And I need it to graduate next semester.

I wish to flipping God this was a joke.

I've emailed my prof asking how, and I'm wondering if there's anything I can do.

Advice?

Sounds like you'll need to take an extra class next semester. Usually once the class is failed, there isn't anything you can do to change that.

I'd imagine if you honestly have no idea how you failed, if this is that much of a shock, there might be an error.

Otherwise, you'll have to take an extra class. If it doesn't fit in your schedule, see if you can take it at another school, or even online at an accredited school, if yours does not have it online. Some may even have "Winterim" classes, where you can cram 3 credits in one break.

I'm trying to find out the maximum amount of credits you can take in each semester, because if I can take seven classes, then I can take the French again.

I AM wondering how I failed though. I had two Bs on exams, and two Cs.

I'm wondering if somehow he didn't get my final? We had to turn them in and I slid mine under his door because he wasn't there.

I'd imagine that is possibly it, and you may be liable if it had to do with that. Turning things in under a door is always very risky, we were allowed to turn them in at reception, and have them time stamped. Or turn them in via email and with receipts.

I can't imagine a professor not dropping an e-mail if something as important as the final was missing instead of just failing you. Can you go to his office hours or e-mail him to see what's up?

NVM, skimmed the post. But yeah, that's very bizarre, and it seems unlikely that anything short of a missing final would cause you to fail based on those test grades. Good luck.

Take another class and pass it this time?

Deep breaths. It won't help you graduate, but peace of mind has value all itself.

two Bs and two Cs does not sound like you were going to fail.... Contact the professor before you do anything drastic. As well you can take this class or some other class in the winter or summer and still graduate on time.

I slid final papers under two professors doors Monday and don't think I am going to finish with As in these classes and have been in a depressed oblivion since then. Finals are two weeks at my school and both of these c--- s---- had our final papers due on Monday when there are two more weeks of finals they had them due the first f---ing day.
